JEE 2 Exam Pattern
JEE Paper 2 is divided into two versions:
- JEE Main Paper 2A (B.Arch): Which comprises of three sections:
- Mathematics (objective type)
- Aptitude Test (objective type)
- Drawing Test (subjective type to assess drawing and sketching skills)
- JEE Main Paper 2B (B.Planning): Which includes the following three types of questions:
- Mathematics (objective type)
- Aptitude Test (objective type)
- Planning-based Questions (objective type)
*JEE2 exam is conducted in 3hrs. The mathematics and aptitude sections are held online (Computer Based Test), while the drawing test in Paper 2A is conducted offline (pen-and-paper).
*Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 examination with mathematics as a core subject.
JEE 2 Syllabus
- Mathematics: Topics include algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and coordinate geometry.
- Aptitude: Spatial awareness, analytical reasoning, mental ability, and architectural awareness.
- Drawing: Ability to create sketches, understand scale and proportion, and visualize three-dimensional objects.
- Planning Section (Paper 2B): Urban planning basics, general knowledge about development plans, etc.
JEE 2 Results
Each section has a different weightage, and scores from JEE Paper 2 contribute to the All India Rank (AIR) for admissions. The result determines eligibility for institutions accepting JEE Paper 2 scores.
